I have been teaching business to arts students for 18 years at Wellington Polytechnic, Massey University and Whitireia New Zealand. I come from a self-employment background, having had a successful film catering business in the 1980’s, and later working in the business side of our commercial photography business for 20 years. I am very interested in what makes an arts professional successful, and completed a masters’ thesis on this topic last year.
